Looking for Google Chrome news? You might wanna try Techmeme

Ok, so I won’t start complaining about the Techmeme echo chamber or anything like that. I don’t even feel that way about the tech news aggregator. I just want to show how excited the blogosphere is about Google’s initiative to enter the browser market. Or.., no, let me make one suggestions. Maybe Techmeme should consider to use doodles - like Google does - as well.

I hope you like that post!

Well, at least Nokia crept in there towards the end. ;-)

I think we’re going to like Chrome - I really hope there’s a Mac version today.

There’s a download link for Google Chrome that works in the US (apparently) - certainly does not work here in the UK. Can anyone over check this out? http://gears.google.com/chrome/?hl=en

I’m using Chrome to browse this site on a Sony VAIO running XP. Loading of pages is noticeably smoother than other browsers, and I loaded what I knew to be a ‘bad site’ - it closed down without fuss separate from the rest. And it’s doing a spell-check nicely.

Live Press conference says that they are working hard on Mac & Linux versions, but no specific release date.

So far, apart from no Mac version, I like it.
